Position Title: Project Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Project Manager for the Dania Beach office. These unique positions require a blend of technical engineering skills and project management expertise to oversee complex marine projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be both a problem solver and a leader, capable of managing projects' technical aspects while guiding teams to deliver results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
General Skills:
Proven working experience in project management
Excellent client-facing and internal communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Technical Engineering:
Conduct engineering analysis and problem-solving to ensure project feasibility.
Collaborate with design and production teams to implement engineering solutions.
Project Management:
Lead project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Liaise with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and address concerns.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Conduct inspections and oversee testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in both engineering and project management, preferably in the maritime or construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software and engineering tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering, or Bachelor's degree with years of experience.
Work Environment Summary:
Applicant may be subject to environmental conditions such as cold, heat, exposure to noise, hazards, and confined spaces/close quarters. Applicant must be able to access all areas of the shipyard and company property including docks. Shipyard work is often noisy and dirty.
